On February 20, 2004 the Aboriginal Law Students' Association (ALSA) at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law and the Centre for World Indigenous Knowledge and Research (CWIKR) at Athabasca University hosted a one day conference called:
Which drew together Indigenous academics, scholars and community members from across Canada to discuss traditional Indigenous and Canadian legal theory and practice. The conference was an exceptionally important and well attended event with over 300 people in the audience. The panels, speakers and papers presented here are brought to you as a public service in order to inform the dialogue and discussion in Canada about Indigenous rights. Please note that usage of any kind of the conference proceedings, presentations and papers require the express written permission of the presenter, ALSA and CWIKR at Athabasca University.
